LinkedIn’s Advertising Platform Just Took a Huge Step Forward

LinkedIn is the default social network to connect with business professionals — but it’s advertising platform hasn’t always been the first choice for marketers.

That being said, recent updates to the platform are truly exciting for B2B marketing professionals. LinkedIn recently announced three long-awaited tools to help marketers and business owners reach new audiences. Here’s what you’ll now find in Matched Audiences.

1. Retargeting

One of the most profitable types of Facebook marketing is now available on LinkedIn. You can now advertise to individuals who visit your website right on LinkedIn. Here’s why retargeting ads are so powerful.

2. Account Targeting

If you have a product or service that you want to target to specific companies, LinkedIn is definitely worth exploring now that Account Targeting is setup. Advertisers can upload a CSV and target any of the 12 million companies on LinkedIn with just a few clicks. It’s a great way to reach your audience.

3. Contact Targeting

Have a CSV of contacts you’d like to target? You can now upload it directly to LinkedIn (or connect through services like Marketo and Oracle Eloqua) and begin running a direct marketing campaign to users associated with the information you provide. It’s a great way to get in front of individuals who’ve already connected with your brand in some other aspect — creating multiple touch points and helping your business stay top of mind.
