Lunch Buddies:
Shelf Velocity Starts On Social.
A high-volume UGC engine built to introduce Lunch Buddies to girls 5-8 before the product ever hits a Walmart or Target shelf — so the retail launch opens with proof, not a guess.
01 / The Opportunity
A Convention Brand Walking Into A Social-First Category
Lunch Buddies launches into two of the biggest toy shelves in the country carrying Hello Kitty and Care Bears at a $9.99 price point with a chase mechanic built for collectors. That's a strong product story. It has never had a brand account, a content strategy, or a creator program telling it.
Jada's marketing has run on gifting and convention presence — built for a diecast and action-figure audience, not for girls 5-8 and the parents buying for them. That audience doesn't discover product at a con. They discover it in a feed, from a creator they already trust, doing an unboxing or a "which one did you get" video. Right now, nobody is making that content for Lunch Buddies. That's the gap this proposal closes.
02 / The Strategy
High-Volume UGC Over Expensive Creator Bets
For a $9.99 collectible with a chase item, the winning move isn't a handful of expensive influencer partnerships — it's volume, frequency, and authenticity. We recommend the Hudson Method: a rotating network of UGC creators paid a flat fee per post, flooding TikTok and Instagram with unboxings, "which chase did you pull," trades, and collection videos. It's the same logic that drives real collector-culture virality, applied on purpose instead of by accident.
03 / What's Included
Everything Inside $34,200/Quarter

- Scripting, casting support, and edit direction for both quarterly shoots
The UGC creator engine
- Sourcing and recruiting a rotating network of UGC creators in the 5-8 parent/kid content space
- Flat per-post fee structure (the Hudson Method) — creator fees billed direct, no markup
- Briefing, contracting, and usage rights management for every creator
- Ongoing roster expansion as new creators are graded and added
Reporting & retail readiness

- A content and engagement package formatted specifically for buyer conversations
- Candid, straight-talk feedback on what's working — not just a highlight reel
04 / The Roadmap
Built To Be Ready Before Target Ships
Creator network sourced and onboarded. Content strategy, brand account setup, and first wave of UGC content produced ahead of any retail activity.
Brand account goes live. UGC network begins posting at full cadence, building the engagement history and content library before a single unit is on shelf.
Content shifts to drive in-store discovery at Target's ~1,400 doors. Chase-item content and "find it near you" messaging ramp up.
Full national push across Walmart's ~3,000 doors, backed by a full quarter of engagement data and a proven content engine — the pitch retail buyers respond to.
05 / Why Cave
Retail Velocity Experience, Applied To Toys
Cave has driven shelf velocity for brands inside Walmart, Target, and Costco before — in food and beverage, where the same dynamic applies: the retail buyer wants proof of demand before committing shelf space. The principles carry directly to Lunch Buddies. We've run social-first since 2011, and our value isn't promising a number — it's being the trusted advisor who tells you what's actually working, so this quarter produces something real to bring back to the buyer table.
