Facebook Introduces “Live Audio”

Facebook announced today that they’re stepping into the audio game. The social media giant will now allow publishers to post live audio clips straight to Facebook, encouraging those producing live video content to test out the feature set.

For some, live video can seem too intrusive. Finding on screen talent is a difficult task, and to those publishers who specialize in audio content, the announcement was met with joy. Facebook is hoping that radio programming and podcast episodes will try out their live audio, in an attempt to engage with users who want to listen and not watch. It could be an interesting addition to your daily commute.
